Paraíso Tabú

Paraíso Tabú is a musical piece in which a live film is made using the mechanics of vinyl decks and covers as a basis. To do this, Fran Torres (Millones de Trillones) and Pablo Peña (Pony Bravo) use six decks, three wireless cameras and a hundred vinyl records, many of them musical, but others loaded with the most suggestive sound effects. A mix of audiovisual effects and manipulation of vinyl and gadgets, lots of gadgets, to create a sound and visual environment full of tricks. The video, still following the canons of classic cinema, is a transoceanic adventure in which the vinyl covers themselves are used and many other tricks performed live with praxinoscopes, dioramas, games of shadows and lights, water, objects attached to the vinyls and an infinite number of possibilities. A piece inspired by artists such as Iván Zulueta, Murneau, Christian Marclay, Merzbow or the Fluxus movement. “The listener will be able to enjoy a unique experience that will lead them to immerse themselves in the sinuous waves of the southern acoustic, a sea of sound full of colorful banks of notes and packs of noises.” A maritime sound, atmospheric and, above all, paradisiacal music.
