Svævninger can be translated to beatings, meaning the interference between two waves or more. Svævninger is a visual concert performed by composer Lil Lacy and the artist collective Vertigo. In the concert they explore light and sound waves and join them in a unified expression. Equipped with a cello, effect pedals and loop-machines, they cause the light and sound waves to vibrate and rub against each other (creating an interference that is also called beatings) so that luminous figures and sonic vibrations float in the air and fill the room.
