TOCAS is a performance without words that speaks to us, through sound, music and movement, about our need for having a home (toca) and affection.
Two musician-performers are among the spectators, breaking the border between stage and audience. Everyone is sharing the same toca*, protecting and caring for one another. It may rain or get cold outside, but inside we are warm and cozy, doing our best to feel well. We have this right, don't we?
*In Portuguese, toca can refer to a safe place or home, while the verb tocar has multiple meanings, such as playing an instrument, offering care through touch, or being emotionally touched by something.
